Esenboga International Airport is located approx. 28 km (17 mi) northeast of Ankara and has direct connections with the city centre and the Intercity Bus Terminal. The access route to the airport has been modernized in 2006, allwing a faster access to and from city centre.

Atatürk International Airport is located 24 km (15 mi) from city centre, on the European side, and is currently the major international airport in Istanbul, Turkey. It is the hub for all major domestic and international airlines, handeling a total passenger traffic of more than 30 million for the year.
